Isotrex belongs to the kind of drug called retinoid. Isotretinoin is one of the active ingredients of Isotrex.
Isotrex Indications
Isotrex is used for treating mild to moderate acne.
Isotrex Warnings
Be careful in using Isotrex. Avoid swallowing Isotrex in the form of a gel because it is for external use only. Be careful not to get Isotrex in the mucous membranes, eyes, mouth, or in the areas that are broken or affected by eczema. Do not use Isotrex until your skin is cured if you have sunburn.
Isotrex increases the sensitivity of the skin. For this reason, avoid exposure to sunlight or sunlamps if you are using Isotrex. However, if you cannot avoid being exposed to sunlight or sunlamps, use sun cream, protective clothing or other protective measures.
Be careful in using Isotrex if you have eczema, have had a skin cancer or lining of the internal body cavities, and in applying it in the neck or other sensitive areas in the skin.
Talk to your doctor first before using Isotrex if you have allergy to any of its ingredients. Stop using Isotrex and contact your doctor in the soonest possible time if you experience allergic reactions.
Isotrex taken orally might cause harmful effects to an unborn baby. It is not known whether Isotrex applied in the skin could cause harm to an unborn baby. Talk to your doctor first before taking Isotrex if you are pregnant or could become pregnant during the treatment.
It is not known whether Isotrex could cause harm to a nursing infant. Talk to your doctor first before using or taking Isotrex if you are breast-feeding a baby.

Isotrex Dosage
You may obtain the amount and frequency of taking or using Isotrex from your doctor or in the label. Follow the exact dose given to you by your doctor.
Isotrex Overdose
If you suspect an overdose with Isotrex, look for emergency medical attention or contact your doctor immediately.
Isotrex Missed Dose
Ask your doctor for instructions if you miss a dose of Isotrex. Do not use or apply a double dose Isotrex unless your doctor told you to do so.
Isotrex Side Effects
Along with the desirable effects, patients could also experience some undesirable effects while taking or using Isotrex. Some of the side effects of Isotrex are reactions in the skin such as redness, stinging, burning, or irritation in the area where you apply it sensitivity to sunlight is increased and peeling of the skin.
Other side effects not mentioned here may also occur. Talk to your doctor if you experience any unusual or bothersome side effects.
Isotrex Drug Reactions
Some of the drugs may affect Isotrex when used together with it. Some of the drugs that could affect Isotrex are other topical medicines soaps and cosmetics that can cause a strong drying effect soaps and cleansers that are medicated or abrasive products that are consists of high concentrations of alcohol, astringents, lime or spices and preparations that are consist of sulphur, resorcinol, benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.
Other drugs not mentioned here could also affect Isotrex. Talk to your doctor first before using any prescriptions or over-the-counter medicines such as vitamins, minerals and herbal products.
